I have been reading Ellery Adams (aka Jennifer Stanley, J. B. Stanley, & 1/2 of Lucy Arlington) for days now. This is one prolific writer. There is another series that I haven’t listed because they don’t have it at my library. But whatever name she is writing under, this is a writer you can feel comfortable spending your money on. Even the ones I am not crazy about are excellent, just not my cup of tea.

CHARMED PIE SHOPPE MYSTERY Series:
Ella Mae LaFaye owns Charmed Pie Bakery in Georgia. Her pies are enchanted. Whatever she is feeling at the time she is baking, goes into the pie and the person who eats the pie will then have the same feeling. I must admit, I was a bit so so on this one. Oh yeah, and there is a mystery. This gets ♥♥♥ but more on the quality of the writing than the quality of the story.
BOOKS BY THE BAY MYSTERY Series:
Olivia Limoges, Captain Haviland (her Poodle) & the members of the Bayside Book Writers Club (which includes a handsome detective that Olivia is interested in) in Oyster Bay, North Carolina make for some very interesting stories. Good mysteries, good character development, this series gets ♥♥♥♥♥ and I can’t wait for more.
- A Killer Plot ’10
- A Deadly Cliché ’11
- The Last Word ’11
- Written in Stone ’12
Written as Lucy Arlington with Sylvia May:
A NOVEL IDEA MYSTERY Series: I’m afraid I was so so on this one. I mentioned it in my last group book review – I had already started with Buried in a Book. The romance aspect was very forced and unrealistic although the mystery wasn’t bad. I haven’t gone on to the second. This gets ♥♥♥ once again for the quality if not the content of the writing.
COLLECTIBLES MYSTERY Series:
Molly Appleby is a Reporter for Antique/Collectibles Magazine and a thoroughly enjoyable character. As are all the secondary characters in this series. Add in very good mysteries and ♥♥♥♥♥ on this series. Tied with Books by the Bay for my favorite.
- A Killer Collection ’06
- A Fatal Appraisal ’06
- A Deadly Dealer ’07

SUPPER CLUB MYSTERY Series:
Which I will be starting after a short break for two books by other authors. I hope it is another five heart series. All in all, even when she is not at her best (in my opinion only), this is a woman who writes a good book. As I said, there is another I haven’t even listed here so we are talking an awful lot of books since 2006. Maybe she shouldn’t spread herself so thin. But then, even the 3 hearts are better than so many other cozies so you can feel safe in picking up one of her books – whatever name she is writing under.
- Carbs and Cadavers ’06
- Fit To Die ’07
- Chili Con Corpses ’08
- Stiffs and Swine ’08
- The Battered Body ’09
- Black Beans & Vice ’10
