Last night’s read was Juliet Blackwell’s A CAST-OFF COVEN, 2nd in the witchcraft mystery series. Fast paced, enjoyable read. The local art college is having a ghost problem and Lily Ivory agrees to check it out in return for some Victorian era clothes they have. But she doesn’t just find a ghost she finds the dead body of a wealthy benefactor of the college. All the characters from the first book return and a new one joins, ‘Sailor’, a somewhat reluctant psychic. The book has just the right mix of mystery, the paranormal and a bit of romance.
