Last night found me back at the corner of Haight and Ashbury, Aunt Cora’s Closet, with Lily Ivory once again. In HEXES AND HEMLINES, Malachi Zazi, head of the Serpentarian Society and a man with a sad and unusual past, is murdered. The police actually call Lily in on this to get her take on why a man was stabbed surrounded by symbols of superstition. When her friend Bronwyn’s son is suspected of the murder, Lily takes more active role. Super book. Best of the series so far. We learn more about Lily’s past as well as Aiden’s and Sailor’s. Max seems to be fading out of the picture, it will be interesting to see if he comes back in the next book – which I will be starting in about five minutes. It has been interesting to watch the growth of Lily, her self confidence and her friendships and loyalty toward her friends. And of course, her familiar Oscar is always a hoot. We also learn more about his past and he briefly has a pet black cat. Well, off to read now. ♥♥♥♥♥ http://www.amazon.com/Hexes-Hemlines-A-Witchcraft-Mystery/dp/0451233786/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358473221&sr=8-1&keywords=hexes+and+hemlines
